CHON BURI, THAILAND – A 27-year-old woman from Bo Win issued an urgent plea for help after her ailing mother disappeared and did not return home.
Mother missing since 7 December
The 55-year-old Phannee Noei-iam was last seen on Saturday, 7 December, at about 10 a.m., according to her family. She left the family home in a side street near Wat Huai Prap in Bo Win subdistrict, Sri Racha, and did not come back.
Her daughter Ms. Phim filed a missing person report at Bo Win Police Station on Thursday. The 27-year-old told officers that her mother suffered from a mental illness and several chronic conditions and depended on daily medication.
Last trace captured on CCTV
Police and relatives said CCTV footage from a hardware store at the Pak-Ruam–Bo-Win intersection showed Mrs. Phannee arriving in a local songthaew shared taxi. She got off there and then walked along the roadside.
She was wearing an orange top and carrying a basket. In the images she was seen collecting plastic bottles, a behaviour that the family said occurred when she was confused.
“She has never gone this far from home and probably no longer remembers the way back,”
said Ms. Phim, daughter.
“I am very afraid that she will have an accident or that something terrible will happen to her. She needs her medication every day.”

Family searches alone for days
The family home was located about five kilometres from the Pak-Ruam intersection. Relatives said they had searched intensively for the missing woman over the past five days.
They checked markets, temples, bus stops and nearby residential areas, and distributed search leaflets both in the neighbourhood and on social networks. Despite these efforts, there had been no confirmed sighting of Mrs. Phannee.
“I feel so bad when I think that she is out there all alone,”
said Ms. Phim, daughter.

Police coordinate search and alert nearby stations
The investigation was handled at Bo Win Police Station under the leadership of Pol. Lt. Prayoon Sonsri. Officers said patrol cars and neighbouring police stations had been informed to watch specifically for the missing woman.
The family urged residents and passersby to stay alert. Anyone who saw Mrs. Phannee was asked, if possible, to keep her safe and contact the family immediately.
Reward offered for information
Relatives provided a 24-hour contact number for information: 062-184-6368. They also announced a reward for any useful tip that led to finding the missing woman.
The search for the 55-year-old continued as family members and police hoped for crucial information from the public.
