PATTAYA, THAILAND – A night of camaraderie between two friends took a violent turn in Pattaya, as a heated argument over professional abilities escalated into a brutal brawl. The confrontation ended with one man smashing a beer bottle into his best friend’s face, sending him to the hospital with deep wounds.
Scene of the Incident: Khao Talo Railway Road
At approximately 10:06 p.m. on Saturday, emergency services at Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center received a distress call. The altercation had taken place outside a commercial building on Railway Road in Khao Talo, Pattaya, resulting in at least one serious injury.
Upon arrival, rescue workers encountered a harrowing scene. Supharak Klean Raksa, 38, was found with severe lacerations to his forehead and face. Clearly intoxicated, he was given immediate first aid before being transported to a nearby hospital.
“We Were Best Friends” – Suspect Shows Remorse
The alleged assailant, 33-year-old Adisong Phol Yang Nok, was also heavily intoxicated but remained at the scene and cooperated fully with police. In an emotional statement, he recounted the events leading up to the violent outburst:
“We were best friends, drinking several beers and chatting,” Adisong told officers. “But as the alcohol took effect, we started arguing about our jobs—who was better at what. Things got heated, and he stood up and began hitting me.”
Beer Bottle Turns Into a Weapon
Desperate and unable to defend himself, Adisong resorted to a drastic measure. “I couldn’t fight back properly, so I grabbed a beer bottle and struck him on the head. When I saw how badly he was hurt, I stopped immediately and called for help.”
Shards of the shattered bottle littered the ground—silent witnesses to the violence that had erupted. Police secured evidence and took statements from all involved parties.
Victim in Stable Condition
Fortunately, Supharak was reported to be in stable condition at the hospital. While his injuries were bloody, they were not life-threatening. However, the incident is likely to have caused irreparable damage to the friendship between the two men.
Police are treating the case as an assault but had not made any arrests as of Sunday morning. Both men are known in the area as regular drinking companions.
