BANGKOK, Thailand – A 26-year-old bigbike influencer got four months jail and an 8,000 baht fine for dangerous driving. The court also ordered his Honda CBR confiscated after he sped, swerved lanes, and failed to signal on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road.
The Northern Bangkok District Court handed down the sentence on August 11. It included four months imprisonment, an 8,000 baht fine, and forfeiture of the seized motorcycle. The jail term was suspended for two years.
The suspect gave a full confession to investigators on August 10 at 1:30pm. Police then sent the case to court.
High speed and abrupt lane changes
Police said the man rode the motorcycle in March and April 2026 on the outbound section of Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road in Chatuchak District. He allegedly revved the engine, drove at high speed, and repeatedly cut across lanes without warning.
He gave no turn signals to other road users. His rapid, tight lane changes made his direction hard to predict for other drivers.
Police documented two locations
Officers recorded violations at two points on the road: the U-turn near Kasetsart University and in front of the Police Command for Patrol and Special Operations 191.
Police said his driving obstructed or disrupted traffic and could endanger other road users, their lives, and their physical safety.
Additional traffic offences punished
Investigators also slapped him with other charges. These included failing to keep to the far left lane or a nearby bus lane, using a vehicle without paying annual tax, and riding a motorbike with missing or incomplete parts and equipment.
He also faced proceedings for reckless and dangerous motorcycle riding. Investigators imposed comparative fines for these further offences.
