DON MUEANG, Thailand – Immigration police arrested a Swiss man at Don Mueang airport for using a forged passport.
The arrest took place on Thursday, July 30, 2026, around 2:45 PM. Officers detained the suspect in the international departure hall of Building 2, on the third floor of Don Mueang airport. Police announced the arrest on their Facebook page on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
Arrest at international departure hall
The man is a Swiss national. Immigration police accused him of jointly forging a passport and using or keeping the forged document for use.
Authorities did not release further details about the suspect’s identity in their statement.
Case handed to investigators
Officers from the second investigation team of immigration police at Don Mueang airport carried out the arrest. The operation was led by senior officials from immigration police Region 2 and the Don Mueang airport immigration office.
After the arrest, police handed the man to investigators in the crime prevention and law enforcement division of immigration police Region 2. They said the case will be processed under Thai law. The suspect is presumed innocent until a final court verdict.
