BANGKOK, Thailand – A British social media man sparked fury on Tuesday morning with a vile video rant against Thai people. Daniel Harper, known online as DannyBoy83, spread racist insults and threats of violence – then claimed parts of the video were AI-manipulated.
In the clip, filmed late Tuesday evening in the Sukhumvit district, Harper compares Thai people to animals and mocks poverty and sex work in the country. He says an encounter with locals will “escalate” because he wants to “beat them up.”
Racist tirade in central Bangkok
The video ends with insults against Thai eating habits and an announcement that he can hardly wait to travel on to Brazil. The footage has since been deleted from Harper’s channels, but was saved and shared widely.
Multiple copies of the material have been examined by Khaosod English. All versions show the same speaker, the same voice, and the same setting – a continuous rant with no signs of artificial generation or after-the-fact editing.
Source analysis finds no trace of AI manipulation

Harper claims trolls faked his words
In a follow-up video around 9 pm on Tuesday, Harper claimed online trolls had altered parts of his statements. “I never said some of these things,” he said. “The trolls manipulated it. It’s like AI. That’s not me.”
His wording only denied individual statements, not the entire video. Later, according to reports, an apology video was published and then deleted again – a complete, independently verified copy does not exist.
Previous arrest at Heathrow Airport
Harper is no stranger to trouble in Britain. At the end of 2025, then 42-year-old Harper was arrested at London Heathrow Airport after returning from Brazil. Kent Police confirmed at the time suspicion of assault and criminal damage.
He was released on bail while investigations continued. An arrest does not establish guilt, and there is no public confirmation of the outcome of the proceedings. Harper is from Cranbrook in the county of Kent and has built up more than 100,000 followers with videos about parties, drugs, and sex work on overseas trips.
Growing scrutiny of foreign visitors
The incident adds to growing public attention on foreign visitors who misbehave in Thailand. Just last week, members of an Italian student group apologised after a viral confrontation with a Thai passenger on a Bangkok BTS train.
Police said at the time that anyone who feels insulted can file a complaint. They urged the public to avoid direct confrontations and instead secure evidence.
What the Briton now faces
