“Koh Samui is considered an important tourist destination in the country, and this integrated cooperation of all sectors will help build trust, ensure safety, and promote Thailand’s tourism image,”
the minister stated. The government also intends to substantially increase safety measures on beaches and roads.

Surasak personally assessed the hazardous locations, inspecting the notorious Chaweng Beach Road. This area is popular with tourists and motorcyclists and is recognized as a frequent accident site. He instructed authorities to systematically address dangerous traffic points.
Additionally, the minister reviewed lifeguarding operations at Chaweng Beach.
“An effective safety system is necessary, including the deployment of lifeguards in these areas,”
