MAKKASAN, BANGKOK – The gruesome discovery of a body in a black plastic box on a balcony has shaken the capital. Police are now urgently searching for the husband of the suspected 34-year-old gastronomy worker from Myanmar. Investigators suspect a brutal domestic crime fueled by jealousy.
Horrifying Discovery on the Balcony
It was shortly after 1:30 AM on Friday when the Din Daeng Police Station received an emergency call. A relative had reported the 34-year-old waitress from Klong Toey missing and asked officers to accompany him to her apartment in Makkasan.
On the second floor of the three-story residential building, officers were met with a scene of disarray. Scattered belongings indicated a violent struggle. A pungent odor eventually led them to the rear balcony, where they found the black box.
Body Parts Hidden in Black Box
Upon opening the large, lidded plastic box, even experienced officers were stunned. They found a body. Forensic experts estimate the woman had been deceased for several days.
Specialists from the forensic department of Ramathibodi Hospital and rescue workers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation were immediately dispatched. The search for further evidence continues, and the crime scene has been cordoned off.

The primary suspect is known to the authorities: it is believed to be the husband of the suspected 34-year-old. The man from Myanmar works as a cook in a pub on the busy Phetchaburi Road. Relatives told police that he has vanished without a trace since the incident.
