LAMPANG, Thailand – A two-year-old boy has died after being struck by a presumed drunk pickup truck driver who also hit his parents by the roadside.

The incident occurred when the driver of a black pickup truck lost control in Ban Pong Wang, tambon Pichai, Muang district. The vehicle first crashed into a sedan parked at the roadside. It then struck a family of three who were walking along the verge.
The father, mother, and their young son were all injured in the collision. The two-year-old boy was rendered unconscious.

Emergency responders from the Lampang Rescue Association transported the family to Lampang Hospital. While the parents sustained injuries, the condition of the young boy was described as critical.
Sadly, the boy was pronounced dead at 2 a.m. on Tuesday. He had succumbed to his severe injuries.
