Banglamung launches 9-point security plan for Pattaya

District chief Anusak Phiriya-amorn orders immediate action against drugs, cybercrime, trafficking, and money laundering in tourist areas.

Pattaya, Thailand – Banglamung district has launched a 9-point security and social order plan to combat drug trafficking, technology crime, human trafficking, and money laundering while boosting safety in tourist areas like Pattaya. District chief Anusak Phiriya-amorn led a meeting on Monday, May 25, 2026, with sub-district and village heads for immediate implementation under the government motto “Ease suffering, promote happiness, protect public peace, destroy drugs, and defeat gangsters.” The action follows a prior security workshop and aims to deliver rapid tangible results.

Anusak Phiriya-amorn chaired the meeting at the Banglamung district office community hall and outlined the initiative’s objectives.

He urged local Kamnans and Phu Yai Bans to actively support the campaign to achieve concrete results in resolving long-standing issues.

The nine measures at a glance

The plan covers nine key points: drug suppression, pursuing call-center gangs and technology crime, action against influential individuals and illegal weapons, resolving illegal debts, inspecting foreign capital and nominee structures, combating human trafficking, clarifying land grabs, tracking financial flows and money laundering, and enhancing security in tourist areas.

All nine measures are slated for immediate implementation and target various forms of organized and economic crime.

Authorities to work closely together

According to the district chief, operations will run in an integrated fashion between the district administration, police, and other relevant authorities.

Anusak stressed the need for close cooperation and trust among participants to address security problems more efficiently.

The campaign builds on a security workshop and aligns with national government policy on order and crime suppression.

The government’s motto provides the political foundation for local measures and coordination among involved agencies.

Tourism regions like Pattaya in focus

Banglamung includes popular tourist destinations such as Pattaya. Enhancing safety in tourist areas ranks among the nine measures.
