Patong, Phuket – A foreign couple was arrested and deported after a public indecent act in a tuk-tuk.
Act in Tuk-Tuk Causes Stir
The individuals involved are a Spanish man and a Peruvian woman. The couple admitted to the act and said they were
“carried away by emotions.”
The incident spread quickly online and triggered sharp reactions. Locals and officials called the behavior disrespectful and damaging to Thailand’s reputation.
Patong Police Takes Action
The Patong Police tracked down the couple and charged them under Thai law with public indecency. Investigators directly targeted the behavior in the tuk-tuk. Immigration authorities also stepped in and revoked their visas, after which deportation proceedings began.

Officials made clear that such behavior would not be tolerated. They also pointed to Thailand’s efforts to protect cultural values and maintain the country’s tourism image. The couple was arrested and deported.
