BANGKOK, THAILAND – Police in Bangkok investigated two Chinese influencers who were arrested after a late-night incident at a Sathorn condominium where officers seized drugs, syringes, cash and suspected digital content equipment.
Night-time operation after residents raised alarm
In the early hours of Thursday, two Chinese nationals were detained in a condominium in Bangkok’s Sathorn district. The operation followed complaints about a loud and escalating incident inside the residential complex.
Residents reported screams and said the men had run naked through the building. Some occupants stated that noises from the unit had woken and frightened nearby children.
Police encounter disoriented suspects
According to officers, a report was received about aggressive, incoherent behaviour in an apartment in the city centre. Police units were dispatched shortly afterwards to check the situation.
When they entered the premises, officers found both men in a heavily disoriented state. They showed clear signs of hallucinations and confusion and could barely be engaged in conversation, the police said.
Influencers with large following under scrutiny
Checks established that the detainees were influencers on X, with a combined reach of around 600,000 followers. Their content reportedly targeted mainly Chinese and other Asian audiences.
Investigators said they had previously showcased a luxurious lifestyle and entertainment-focused content. Later, they were investigated in connection with the production of adult material and illegal activities.
Repeated complaints from Sathorn condominium
The incident took place in a well-known condominium in the Sathorn area, in the subdistrict of Thung Maha Mek. Police confirmed that disturbances had been occurring there for some time.
Residents had repeatedly complained about noise, suspected drug use and public nudity in corridors and common areas. Several complaints were passed to the building management and eventually to the police.
Building management overwhelmed as residents move out
According to information from the investigation environment, the building management tried several times to intervene but encountered aggressive and sometimes uncooperative reactions. The disturbances allegedly spread at times into the lobby and shared zones.
Several residents on the same floor reportedly moved out, while others described ongoing strain from the situation. Complaints escalated and were forwarded to law enforcement.
Targeted surveillance and night-time entry
Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom received information from an informant and ordered an immediate investigation, according to the report. Police Major General Teeradet Thamsuthee was assigned to lead the operation.
A unit from the Narcotics Suppression Division then monitored the suspects’ movements and confirmed patterns matching the complaints. On 10 April 2026, at around 00:30, police launched a targeted action and entered the apartment.
Drugs, syringes and cash seized
Inside the unit, officers found one of the men naked and surrounded by drug paraphernalia; both suspects appeared heavily intoxicated. Police seized methamphetamine and Ecstasy tablets, both classified in Thailand as category 1 narcotics.
They also confiscated around 100 syringes, additional equipment, a scale and about 100,000 baht in cash. The items were recorded as evidence and the men were placed under preliminary arrest.
Phones, iPad and digital equipment confiscated
As further evidence, ten mobile phones and an iPad were seized. Investigators stated that pornographic videos and material believed to have been produced for a subscription-based platform were found on the devices.
Authorities additionally secured recording equipment and accessories allegedly used to create such content. The investigation remained ongoing, focusing on drug possession, possible distribution and the production and dissemination of unlicensed material.
