PATTAYA, THAILAND – A British tourist was found with severe injuries in a Pattaya lodging and taken to hospital in critical condition.
Woman found on second floor
Rescue workers provided first aid at the scene before transporting the woman to Pattaya Bhattamakun Hospital. Her condition was described as critical when emergency crews arrived.
Staff at the accommodation had called emergency services after the woman asked for help from her room on the second floor.
Check-in shortly after midnight
According to accommodation attendant Ms. Kiwi, the woman checked in around 2 a.m. for a one-day stay and was due to leave later the same day. During her stay she was seen crying and appeared visibly distressed.
Witnesses said she gave the impression of being under significant emotional strain.
Request for secrecy from staff
The attendant stated that the woman had explicitly asked staff not to disclose her presence at the lodging if anyone came to ask for her. Investigators interpreted this request as an indication of her psychological state in the hours before the incident.
Police viewed the account as a possible clue to the pressure the woman was facing.
Emergency call from the room
Shortly before the planned check-out, the woman requested drinking water from her room and urged staff to call rescue services. Employees of the accommodation then immediately contacted the authorities.
Rescue workers arrived soon after and began medical treatment at the scene before transferring her to hospital.

Initial conversations between responders and the woman suggested, according to police, that she had been under severe stress due to personal problems and was suffering from insomnia. The exact cause of her injuries remained unclear.
