NAN, THAILAND – A supercar left a rural road between Nan and Thawangpha and was completely destroyed by fire, while the driver escaped with minor injuries.
Accident on the Nan–Thawangpha roadside
The crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m. on 30 January on the Nan–Thawangpha road, in front of the Pa Kha Administrative Organization office in Thawangpha district, Nan province, according to the Phetkasem Nan Foundation. The vehicle veered off the road, came to a halt in a roadside ditch and caught fire shortly afterwards.
Firefighting operation and emergency response
When alerted responders arrived, the luxury car was already fully engulfed in flames and, according to accounts from the scene, could no longer be saved. Firefighters and rescue teams from the Pa Kha Administrative Organization and the Thawangpha municipal administration worked together to extinguish the blaze and secure the crash site.
Driver suffered only minor injuries
Initial information indicated that the driver managed to escape from the supercar and sustained relatively minor physical injuries. He mainly suffered abrasions and was immediately taken by rescue workers to Thawangpha Hospital for continued medical treatment.
Other supercars at the scene
Emergency crews also found several other supercars parked at the roadside, which had apparently been travelling together with the crashed vehicle and stopped after the fire broke out. Police at Thawangpha station launched an investigation to determine how the driver lost control of the car and how the subsequent total loss by fire occurred.
