PATTAYA, THAILAND – A 26-year-old woman from Udon Thani was hospitalized in Pattaya after falling from a residential high-rise, underscoring the need for support during psychological crises.
Fall from 25th floor into condominium pool
According to police, the incident took place on 28 December 2025 at a high-rise building on Chaloem Phrakiat Road Soi 3 in Pattaya. Rescue teams from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation and officers from Pattaya City Police Station were dispatched to the scene following an emergency call.
Rescuers found the young woman in the condominium’s swimming pool. She had fallen from the 25th floor and, based on initial assessments, was blown off course by the wind, causing her to land in the pool rather than on the concrete surface, which was considered a crucial factor in her chances of survival.
Rapid rescue and hospital treatment
Volunteer responders immediately pulled the woman from the water and administered first aid. She was then transported to a nearby hospital, where she received medical treatment, and the swift action of emergency workers was described as vital to her survival.
Officials stated that building security staff and rescue personnel reacted in an exemplary manner, noting that the emergency call was placed only a few minutes after the incident.
Dispute with foreign husband under review
Preliminary police investigations found that the woman had been living with her foreign husband in an apartment on the 25th floor of the same building. Witnesses and initial questioning indicated the couple had allegedly been involved in an argument shortly before the fall.
According to the current findings, the woman then left the apartment and went out onto the balcony. Authorities continued to examine the exact circumstances of her actions and motives, while the husband’s identity was not released to the public.
Ongoing police investigation
Pattaya City Police Station opened an official investigation to clarify the circumstances and background of the incident, and witness statements were being systematically documented. The foreign husband was questioned by police, but no further details of his testimony were initially disclosed.
Officers said the continuing investigation would examine all relevant aspects of the case before any conclusions were drawn.
Mental health pressures and crisis prevention
The incident highlighted the importance of mental health and support in times of crisis. Experts emphasized that emotional strain within relationships needed to be recognized early and taken seriously.
Local aid organizations stressed that early intervention and professional support could save lives, with prevention measures and counseling services playing a key role in coping with crises.
