PATTAYA, THAILAND – A closed noodle shop in Banglamung district was largely stripped of its electrical installation in an early-morning burglary that appeared to involve a repeat offender.
Night-time break-in at closed restaurant
The incident occurred on 27 November 2025 at around 3 a.m. at the “Khrua Kru Kai Khanom Jeen” branch on Khao Talo Railway Parallel Road in Moo 11, according to the shop owner. CCTV footage showed a lone man arriving on a distinctive motorcycle with sidecar, stopping directly in front of the lowered metal shutter and walking purposefully toward a nearby power pole.
Power cut and wiring removed
The unknown suspect appeared to use tools to cut the power line directly at the electricity meter, then pulled the cable into the interior of the closed premises. Inside, he removed electrical devices and installations without disturbance, stripping much of the shop’s electrical system.
Air conditioner and entire control panel stolen
According to the operator, the items stolen included a white 9,000-BTU CCL air-conditioning unit, the complete electrical control panel, and all wiring and components connected to the electricity meter. The damage was estimated at a minimum of 30,000 baht.
Owner says suspect had broken in before
Restaurant owner Ms. Wasana Kaewiankham, 38, said the shop was currently temporarily closed and secured at the front with a metal roll-down shutter. She reported that the same man, or an accomplice, had broken in previously but caused only minor damage.
“I never thought he would come back and this time take everything,”

Police report filed after second, heavier burglary
After the second and significantly more serious break-in, Wasana immediately filed a complaint with Pol. Lt. Col. Chai Sridamni, the duty investigator at Nong Prue Police Station. Investigators were now examining the clear CCTV recordings of the suspect and his distinctive sidecar motorcycle to identify the man and arrest him quickly.
Case treated as aggravated night-time theft
Police were handling the incident as aggravated theft committed at night. The clearly recognizable video images were considered a key lead in the ongoing manhunt.
