Leofest 2025 to Proceed in Adjusted Format

Organizers confirm the festival near Pattaya will take place in November with respectful modifications following royal mourning

PATTAYA, THAILAND – The annual Leofest music festival will take place as planned on November 8 and 9, 2025, but in a toned-down format out of respect for the late Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, the event’s organizing team confirmed.

Festival to Proceed as Scheduled

Organizers said they decided to move forward after a large number of participants had already booked hotels and made travel arrangements. The team emphasized that the dates remain unchanged—Saturday, November 8, and Sunday, November 9, 2025—to minimize disruption for festivalgoers coming from across Thailand and abroad.

Respectful Adjustments to Program

According to the announcement, the lighting, colors, and sound elements of Leofest will be modified to reflect the period of mourning. The statement did not specify technical changes but described the presentation as being “adjusted to suit the current circumstances.”

The LEO FEST 2025 Organizing Team requested all attendees to adopt a more modest aesthetic this year. Participants were asked to wear white, black, or muted tones in tribute to the Queen Mother, affectionately known in Thailand as the Royal Mother of a Thousand Years.

“ATTENDEES ARE KINDLY REQUESTED TO WEAR MODEST COLORS AS A SIGN OF RESPECT AND CONDOLENCES,”

the team added in its statement.

Community Gratitude and Support

Organizers expressed appreciation for the continued enthusiasm surrounding the event despite the adjustments.

“THE ORGANIZING TEAM EXTENDS ITS HEARTFELT GRATITUDE FOR EVERYONE’S UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORT,”

read the official note, underscoring the collective sense of reverence during this significant national moment.

Leofest, which typically draws large crowds near Pattaya, has become one of the region’s key cultural gatherings known for its vibrant production and community spirit. This year’s subdued edition is expected to provide a more reflective atmosphere while maintaining the core celebration of music and togetherness.

Balancing Celebration and Commemoration

The team’s approach mirrors how Thailand often combines respect for royal traditions with efforts to sustain tourism and community events. By choosing to proceed rather than postpone, organizers sought to honor existing commitments while ensuring the festival’s tone aligns with national sentiment.

The confirmation brings clarity after weeks of speculation and reassures thousands preparing to attend what remains one of the country’s most anticipated cultural weekends.
