Shock as Monster Python Strikes in Empty House
A tranquil home in Prachinburi is shattered by a chilling discovery. A giant python, over three metres long, sneaks into the house and swallows a beloved cat whole.
The house belongs to an 81-year-old former journalist, now passed away. His daughter, Ms. Nid, cares for the pets left behind—two dogs and two cats. She visits every morning and evening, bringing food and love.
But on this fateful morning, something is terribly wrong.
Beloved Cat Missing, Panic Sets In
Ms. Nid arrives as usual, food in hand. But only one cat, Ploy, appears—shaken and hiding upstairs. The other, Phet, a five-year-old female, is nowhere to be seen.
The two dogs seem fine. But dread grows as Ms. Nid searches the house. Evening falls, and she tries again.
Then, under a table on the ground floor, she spots it.
The Gruesome Discovery
A monstrous python lies coiled, its belly grotesquely swollen. The snake’s body is as thick as a grown woman’s thigh. It cannot move, weighed down by its enormous meal.
Ms. Nid realises the awful truth. “Phet must be inside,” she says, voice trembling. The beloved cat has been swallowed whole.
She calls the Sawang Bamphen Dhammasathan rescue team for urgent help.

Rescue Drama as Snake Proves Too Big to Handle
Rescuers rush to the scene. But the python is so huge, two men can’t lift it. They call for backup.
“It’s a python, not a reticulated python,” one rescuer explains. The snake is so massive, it won’t fit in a sack. They have to use a large barrel instead.
Finally, the team manages to capture the beast and release it back into the wild.
Why Did the Giant Snake Strike?
Locals believe the recent flooding drove the python to seek food in the empty house. With water rising all around, the desperate snake found its way inside—and claimed a tragic victim.
As the rescue ends, neighbours whisper about the house number, 18/1. With the lottery coming up, some see it as a sign.
But for Ms. Nid, the loss is all too real. Will the nightmare return?
