NAKHON NAYOK, THAILAND – Police arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly killing a 35-year-old woman. The suspect fled in a pickup but got stuck in mud.
Cops from Nakhon Nayok province and Ban Na district detained Anonth S. on August 12, 2569. Investigators said his pickup got bogged down in mud, forcing him to stop.
Pickup gets stuck, suspect hides at friend’s place
The suspect then sought shelter at an acquaintance’s home. Officers later brought him back to the crime scene to re-enact the incident as part of his statement.
Police had been called late on August 11, 2569 to an auto repair shop in Ban Na district. A 35-year-old woman from the district lay dead in front of the business.
Deadly quarrel before auto shop
Authorities sent her body to a medical centre for a forensic exam. According to initial reports, the 27-year-old had driven a pickup to the woman’s home earlier.
A fight broke out there, then the woman crossed the street with her daughter to the workshop to seek help. The shop owner said he tried to stop the quarrel and told the woman to go back.
Daughter witnesses fatal attack
Moments later the woman was fatally wounded — with her young daughter nearby. The family told a reporter the man had come into the house with a weapon and tried to force the woman into his pickup.
She refused and screamed for help. Her husband works as a road construction contractor in another province and sends money for his wife and child, the family said.
Suspect claims insult triggered him
During the crime-scene re-enactment, the suspect told police the woman had insulted and provoked him. He described a moment of uncontrollable anger and asked for forgiveness.
In questioning, the man also claimed he was furious because the woman told others he took drugs and was confused. He said that damaged him and sparked the fight.
Family points to ex-husband’s drug arrest
Relatives believe the real conflict stems from the arrest of the woman’s ex-husband. The couple split several years ago when their daughter was about one year old.
The ex-husband was taken into custody about a week before the killing in a drug case. The suspect allegedly believed the woman tipped off police. She repeatedly denied it, but he didn’t believe her.

Police review surveillance footage
Investigators say they haven’t yet confirmed the suspect’s account. Security camera footage shows images and fragments of conversation pointing to a fight over the ex-husband’s arrest, police said.
The audio is not fully clear. Police are gathering more evidence and examining the timeline and the real motive. The case will be handled according to legal procedures.
