NA JOMTIEN, Thailand – A German tourist lost contact with his family on the evening of Aug 7 and asked for help near the B2 Seaview Hotel. Immigration officers tracked down his relatives and placed him in temporary shelter.
The tourist had been separated from his family. He approached people near the hotel in the Na Jomtien subdistrict. Members of a local housing network alerted authorities.
Family contacted again
Immigration investigators from Chon Buri Immigration assisted the German. They then accompanied him to a temporary accommodation.
He was to stay there until his relatives arrived to pick him up. How the separation happened was not disclosed.
Help near the B2 Seaview Hotel
The tourist had reached out to other people near the B2 Seaview Hotel. Members of a local housing network reported the incident to the authorities.
According to the emergency responders, the German could not contact his family himself. His name and age were not released.
Three officers on the case
The team was led by Police Lieutenant Pramote Fueangfung, deputy inspector of Chonburi Immigration. Also involved were Police Corporal Piyanat Nganiam and Sergeant Thanakan Srikhaththanam.
The immigration officers worked with Na Jomtien Police Station. The operation began at around 9:30 pm on Aug 7. The officers accompanied the man to a temporary accommodation where he was to await his relatives.
