PHUKET, THAILAND – A 28-year-old Irish national was found dead in a water reservoir in Cherng Talay on Phuket around 11 am on Thursday. Police are investigating the circumstances and have contacted the Irish embassy.
Police got the call about the body in the Laguna Reservoir in Moo 6, Cherng Talay, Thalang district just after 11 am. Rescue workers from the Kusoldharm Phuket Foundation pulled the body from the water.
Body identified as Irish tourist
The deceased was identified as Scott John Revie Little, 28. Officers from Cherng Talay Police Station, forensic teams, a medical examiner and rescue workers examined the scene.
Police hunt for cause of death
The exact cause of death is still unknown. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the death.
Investigators are gathering evidence, reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses. The probe is ongoing.
