PATTAYA, THAILAND – Police arrested two men Thursday for questioning over the disappearance of Russian siblings Diana, 22, and Roman Nazimova, 17, missing since July 26.
Both men deny any involvement. Investigators suspect they helped two main suspects — wanted on arrest warrants — flee a major police raid and may have helped bury the siblings’ dismantled motorcycle.
Questioning continues at Huai Yai station
Police are holding the pair at Huai Yai Police Station for ongoing questioning. Detectives are hunting for more evidence linking the two detained men to the siblings’ disappearance.
The investigation remains active.
Arrest warrants issued for two more suspects
The Pattaya Provincial Court has issued arrest warrants for two additional men. The charges are nighttime theft using a vehicle and receiving stolen goods.
Evidence so far relates only to the motorcycle. There is no direct investigative lead to the whereabouts of the siblings yet. The search for Diana and Roman continues.

Neighbours identify suspects as Pong and Thong
Thai media reports name the two wanted suspects as men known locally as Pong and Thong. Pong was reportedly released from prison just two months before the disappearance. Residents describe him as dangerous and often armed.
On the afternoon of July 29, police, tourist police, and district officials surrounded a house in Moo 11, Huai Yai, where the pair were believed to be hiding. They were not found.
Acquaintance reports earth-covered arrival on day of disappearance
The homeowner told investigators that Pong and Thong arrived at his place around 10 am on July 26 — the day the siblings vanished. Both were dirty and covered in earth.
They stayed for about an hour and then left. He said he did not ask them any questions at the time.
Gunshots heard near discovery site
A local resident near where the motorcycle was found reported hearing gunshots over several recent nights, coming from about 500 metres away. Police have not yet determined if the shots are linked to the siblings’ disappearance.
Search intensifies at old cemetery
The search is focused on the old Thung Luang cemetery near Chak Taeng intersection in Moo 9, Huai Yai, about 200 metres from the Na Jomtien–Map Ta Phut motorway. On July 29, investigators dug up the siblings’ dismantled Honda ADV in two pits located about 100 metres apart. The licence plate had also been cut up and buried with the bike.
More than 200 personnel — including police, administrators, village chiefs, rescue workers, and volunteers — are combing the area. Volunteer divers have also searched a nearby pond. There is still no trace of Diana or Roman.
Huai Yai Police Station is asking the public for any information on the siblings’ whereabouts or the two men wanted on arrest warrants, 24 hours a day.
