PATTAYA, Thailand – Two young Russian siblings vanished in the dead of night after a quick run to a 7-11. They never made it back.
Iana Nazimova, 22, and her brother Roman, 17, left their home in the Bristol Park estate in Huai Yai around 4.00 am on July 26. They rode a grey Honda ADV 160 with Chonburi plates 4กษ 6379. Their mother, Sarina Nazimova, 40, told police they only wanted to go to the convenience store.
CCTV captures the siblings route
Security cameras tracked their journey through the dark streets. At 4.02 am they passed Soi Wat Thung Lahan heading towards Ban Amphoe–Chak Ngaeo. Nineteen minutes later, at 4.21 am, a camera caught them on the Map Ta Phut–Na Jomtien motorway link near the traffic light under the Chak Ngaeo bridge.
That spot sits six to seven kilometres from their home. The trail ends there.
Unknown rider shadows the pair
Footage shows a second motorcycle following the siblings the entire distance. At the motorway entrance the pair stopped briefly and spoke with an unknown person on another bike for about two minutes. Then all three vehicles rode together towards Chak Ngaeo.
A camera recorded the siblings motorcycle for the last time at 4.33 am at the traffic light under the motorway bridge at Ban Chak Ngaeo. After that, the signal goes dark.
I cannot eat. I cannot sleep. I only hope my children come back unharmed.
said Sarina Nazimova through investigators.
Bike reportedly handed over for debt
A local witness told detectives that a man known only as Mr P now holds the missing siblings motorcycle. Mr P claims he received the bike as payment for a 60,000 baht debt. The witness doubts that story.
Police are checking the lead but have not confirmed anything yet.
Mother fears Russian community crime wave
Sarina Nazimova moved to Thailand in 2018 and brought her children here in 2021. Neither sibling speaks Thai – only Russian and English. They had been taking English classes in Pattaya.
The mother voiced fears about recent criminal cases within Pattaya’s Russian community. In early February investigators found the dismembered body of Mikhail Emelianov, 30, a Russian man, scattered at five sites near Pattaya. The motive is believed to be a debt of over 120,000 US dollars from a cannabis deal.
Police call for public help
The Huai Yai police station is leading the investigation with oversight from Chonburi provincial police and Regional Police 2. Anyone who saw the siblings after July 26 or has information about the motorcycle with plate 4กษ 6379 should contact Huai Yai police at any hour.
