The 69-year-old father, a Chinese national, had left the apartment for work around 8:30 AM, while his Thai wife was out running errands. This left the two daughters alone in the residence. Upon her return to pick up her younger daughter, Liuhui, for an outing, the 21-year-old claimed her older sister was asleep. Suspicious, the mother ascended the stairs and discovered her deceased daughter.
