BANGKOK, THAILAND – Thai authorities have intercepted a cocaine shipment with alarming contents originating from Germany. In an operation that highlighted the increasing use of postal services for illicit activities, approximately 30 grams of cocaine were seized by officials on June 11. Discovery in Lak Si Mail Center
Late in the morning of June 11, a joint task force made a significant move at the express mail center located in Bangkok’s Lak Si district. This action was prompted by intelligence reports suggesting drug smuggling via the regular postal system.
The officers identified a suspicious package and proceeded with its opening according to established protocols. Inside a seemingly innocuous document envelope originating from Germany, they discovered the cocaine, cleverly concealed within the papers but immediately recognizable to the trained eyes of the law enforcement agents.

The raid was a coordinated effort involving multiple key agencies. Participating entities included Internal Security Command Region 1, under the leadership of the Bangkok security command, along with customs officials, the Office of Narcotics Control Board, and officers from the military intelligence service.
Immediately after securing the roughly 30 grams of cocaine, investigators commenced their trace analysis. The powder, the packaging, and all other gathered evidence were meticulously secured before the entire case was handed over to the Thung Song Hong police station.
