PATTAYA, CHON BURI – A night out turned violent when a 20-year-old Thai national was physically assaulted.

Shortly after 1:30 AM on June 10th, Apithan was leaving a venue in the popular nightlife complex with friends. As they passed a motorcycle taxi stand, an argument reportedly broke out. The group’s path was blocked, leading to the ensuing conflict.
According to a female friend who witnessed the incident, the confrontation escalated quickly from angry glances. What began as a silent provocation transformed into a physical altercation within minutes.
Sieben bis acht Motorräder zur Verstärkung
Motorcycle taxi drivers immediately contacted colleagues, and within a short period, seven to eight additional motorcycles arrived. The drivers surrounded the 20-year-old, significantly outnumbering him.
The situation rapidly devolved as the group turned against Apithan. This led to a physical confrontation that left the young man requiring medical attention.

The incident occurred in a well-lit area of the complex, witnessed by numerous visitors and tourists. The attackers appeared unfazed by the onlookers.
Before the police could arrive, the involved parties had already left the scene. Apithan was later found by rescuers and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Rescuers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre found Apithan at the roadside. He was taken to a nearby hospital for further medical management.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the 20-year-old was initially unable to provide a clear statement to the police. Medical personnel provided initial care before his transfer to the hospital.

Officers from the Pattaya City Police Station immediately secured physical evidence at the parking lot and interviewed any remaining witnesses. A key element in their investigation is the numerous surveillance cameras within the complex.
Investigators are meticulously reviewing the CCTV footage from the night of the incident. They hope to clearly identify the perpetrators and apprehend them; no arrests have been made as of yet.

Legally, the situation regarding the assault is clear. Under Section 295 of the Thai Criminal Code, causing physical or mental harm constitutes bodily injury.
Suspects, if identified and convicted, face up to two years in prison or a fine of up to 40,000 Baht, or both. Police have emphasized that the search for the individuals involved is ongoing.
