PHUKET, THAILAND – Two tourists parked their rented motorbikes directly in front of the airport departures hall in Phuket and disappeared into the terminal. The men ignored multiple prohibition signs and left the vehicles unattended to avoid missing their flight.

Cameras recorded how the men hurriedly pulled their luggage out of the seat compartments and loaded it onto trolleys. Without looking back, they left the bikes in a no‑parking zone and rushed to the check‑in counters.

So far there had been no official statement from the police or the airport management about the case. Experts feared that the men were already on board their plane and had left Thailand without any hindrance.
Without swift intervention by the authorities, such violations often had no consequences for tourists. In July of the previous year there had been a similar case in Krabi, although the offenders were later caught.
