PATTAYA, THAILAND – A 60-year-old restaurant owner opened fire on a woman on the sidelines of the Pattaya Music Festival 2026, injuring two people before being arrested at the scene.
Incident on Friday evening
The shooting occurred on 27 March 2026 at around 10:46 p.m. near Lan Pho Public Park, where the Pattaya Music Festival 2026 was taking place. According to police, the suspect, 60-year-old Pornthip Srikhak, fired several shots at a woman she knew.
Officers were alerted immediately and deployed multiple response teams to the scene. The festival was in full swing at the time, and security forces moved to secure the surrounding area.
Two women taken to hospital
The 29-year-old Sutisa Nim-sali sustained an injury and was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. The 37-year-old Patcharee Karunyanlanchakon happened to be in the vicinity and was struck by a deflected bullet.
Rescue teams treated both women at the scene before taking them to medical facilities. There were initially no official details available on their further condition.
Arrest at the scene
Police officers identified the suspect shortly after the incident and arrested her at the scene. The firearm was seized and logged as evidence.
Pornthip Srikhak told authorities she had been harassed online over a longer period. Police stated that these claims were being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.

Several people near the scene reported the incident immediately to security personnel. Bystanders provided first aid until rescue teams arrived.
