BANGKOK, THAILAND – Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G in Thailand, bringing high-end features and the full Galaxy AI suite to its mid-range A series.
Prices in Thailand and launch storage promotion
The Galaxy A57 5G was released in three variants priced at 20,999 baht (12/512GB), 17,999 baht (12/256GB) and 16,999 baht (8/256GB, online exclusive). The Galaxy A37 5G appeared only in an 8/256GB configuration for 13,999 baht.
A limited-time promotion ran from 16 March to 5 April 2026. During this period, buyers of the A57 5G with 256GB received a free upgrade to 512GB, a bonus valued at 3,000 baht.
Financing and everyday availability
Through Samsung Finance+, the company offered installment plans with a 10% down payment. Monthly payments started from 1,400 baht for the A37 5G and 1,800 baht for the A57 5G.
The financing option was presented as particularly useful for expats and long-stay travellers in Thailand. They could take a new device home immediately without paying the full amount at once.
Design and display – slimmer frame, brighter panel
Samsung used its new Ambient Island design on both models, with noticeably slimmer bezels. The A57 5G measured 6.9 mm and 179 g, making it slimmer and lighter than the A37 5G at 7.4 mm and 182 g.
Both phones shared identical 6.7‑inch Super AMOLED displays with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster. According to Samsung, these panels were capable of reaching a peak brightness of 1,900 nits.
IP68 protection for tropical conditions
The Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G both carried IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. This was highlighted as relevant for Thailand’s rainy season, beach use and motorbike rides.
With this level of protection, the A series moved closer to more expensive models in terms of robustness. Samsung did not differentiate between the A57 and A37 on durability features.
Chips, AI performance and cooling – A57 pulls ahead
Inside the Galaxy A57 5G, Samsung used the new Exynos 1680 chipset. The company stated that its NPU delivered 42% higher performance for AI tasks, while the A37 5G relied on the Exynos 1480 for a balance of speed and efficiency.
Samsung also enlarged the vapour-chamber cooling system in the A57 5G by 13%. It referenced the cooling chamber size from the Galaxy S25+ as a benchmark to illustrate efforts to reduce performance drops during gaming or video use.
Cameras and Galaxy AI – search, transcription, editing
The A57 5G featured a triple rear camera with a 50 MP main sensor including OIS, a 12 MP ultra-wide lens with a 123‑degree field of view and a 5 MP macro camera. The A37 5G offered a similar setup but with an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, alongside the same 50 MP main and 5 MP macro sensors.
For the A series, broad Galaxy AI integration in One UI 8.5 was new. Functions included Circle to Search, speech transcription for recordings and calls, and intelligent image tools such as Best Face and automatic editing suggestions.
Battery, charging, connectivity and update commitment
Both smartphones came with 5,000 mAh batteries and 45W wired fast charging, marking a step up for this price segment. Samsung positioned this as a visible improvement for mid-range buyers in Thailand.
In terms of connectivity, the A57 5G offered Wi‑Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0, while the A37 5G supported Wi‑Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Both devices shipped with Android 16 and One UI 8.5, backed by Samsung’s promise of six years of OS updates plus six years of security updates.
Colours – from discreet to eye-catching
The Galaxy A57 5G was available in Violet, Dark Blue and Grey. The Galaxy A37 5G came in Light Violet, Dark Green and Grey.
Samsung followed a similar overall colour scheme for both models. However, it distinguished the devices through different shades of violet and green/blue tones to separate the two lines visually.
