BANGKOK, THAILAND – A Thai couple was removed from a Taiwan–Bangkok flight after an alleged pre‑departure incident that went viral and fueled an online debate over passenger behavior.
Incident on board before take‑off
According to a foreign passenger posting on TikTok under the name @eatshit30678, the man began shouting loudly shortly after boarding, ran through the aisle and tried to film other travelers with his mobile phone.
When flight attendants asked him to leave the aircraft, he reportedly continued to cause problems on the jet bridge until the captain intervened.
Argument before boarding
Another social media user, who said they were on the same flight, reported that the couple had already been arguing before boarding and appeared tense.
The pair were described as Thais working in Taiwan who were returning home, with the husband repeatedly and nervously asking his wife whether money had been transferred or refunded.
Delay and second video clip
The original TikTok poster said other users’ accounts were consistent with his own observations and that the flight eventually landed safely in Thailand.
However, he wrote that after the couple was removed, the aircraft had to wait about 40 minutes before it was cleared for take‑off.
Attempt to re‑enter the aircraft
In another TikTok video posted by user @wilaiwanchantabng, the man appeared to try to re‑enter the plane and held his phone close to crew members’ faces to film them.
The poster praised the crew for their handling of the situation and wrote that such passengers should never have been allowed on board in the first place.
“I appreciate the staff, they really tried to resolve the situation well, but people like this should not have been allowed to board from the start. Their bad behavior wasted a lot of other people’s time.”
said @wilaiwanchantabng, TikTok user.
Background to the dispute and online reactions
According to her account, the couple had initially agreed to return home together, but the husband reportedly changed his mind shortly before departure, called family members and loudly declared he would not go back.
When cabin crew pointed out his behavior, he allegedly insisted he had paid for his ticket, walked through the cabin several times and filmed again.
Many comments under the viral clips criticized the man in particular, saying his actions unsettled other travelers and delayed the flight.
Several users expressed concern that the couple’s conduct could damage the reputation of Thai travelers abroad and called for stricter measures against disruptive passengers.
