PATTAYA, THAILAND – Global electronic music festival Tomorrowland was set to make its Pattaya debut in December 2026, with organizers projecting an economic boost of around 30 billion THB over five years.
They planned to leverage an exclusive Asia mandate, new festival stages and hundreds of thousands of visitors to stimulate the economy of the coastal city and surrounding areas.
Debut in Wisdom Valley
Tomorrowland Thailand was scheduled for 11–13 December 2026 at Wisdom Valley in Chonburi province, bringing an international festival format to Thailand’s eastern seaboard.
Organizers announced six major stages, including the iconic Mainstage as well as the CORE and Freedom areas, which would be presented in Asia for the first time.
International focus and visitor flows
The organizers expected around 150,000 visitors in the first year, with a large share anticipated to be international guests.
They projected short-haul tourists from countries such as China, Singapore and South Korea, alongside long-haul travelers from Europe and Latin America.
Economic effects and jobs
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), WE Are One World and the Belgian embassy estimated an economic impact of more than 5.5 billion THB in the first year and viewed the festival as a driver of the creative sector.
According to the organizers, about 1,900 jobs were expected to be created in the first year, supported by knowledge-sharing through programs such as a DJ Academy and a Festival Academy.
Exclusivity in Asia and investment
Tomorrowland Thailand was planned to be the only Tomorrowland festival in Asia from 2026 to 2030, aiming to give the region an advantage in the international festival business.
The annual private investment of around 1.6 billion THB was to be provided by WEAREONE.world and Tomorrowland Belgium, while the TAT would support coordination and sponsor acquisition to mobilize a further 400 million THB.
Tickets, packages and visitor spending
Ticket sales were scheduled to start in March 2026, with options ranging from day passes to so-called Full Madness Passes.
From 28 February 2026, special hotel packages including accommodation, transfers and festival entry were to be available, with direct visitor spending in the first year estimated at 1.4 to 1.5 billion THB.
Positioning as a global entertainment hub
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said Tomorrowland Thailand would strengthen the country’s role as a global entertainment hub and stabilize the tourism economy during the peak December season.
