PATTAYA, THAILAND – Thai police freed two Indian tourists from a Pattaya condominium in the early hours of 7 February 2026 after they had allegedly been held against their will in an extortion case.
Police operation in Phratamnak condominium
The operation took place in a condominium in the Phratamnak area and was coordinated by the regional criminal police. It was launched after an emergency call reported indications of unlawful deprivation of liberty. Officers then located the relevant unit and, together with building security, gained access to the apartment.
