PATTAYA, THAILAND – Pattaya prepared a large-scale celebration for children and teenagers for National Children’s Day on Saturday, 10 January 2026, creating a dedicated festival area between city hall, play zones and stage shows.
City hall program and schedule
The main event was scheduled on the multipurpose areas in front of Pattaya City Hall, with the official program set from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and additional activities starting even earlier. According to the organizers, more than 5,000 gifts and prizes were readied, with a focus not only on entertainment but also on education, creativity and participation by schools and government agencies.
Stage performances, play zones and learning areas
Students from schools under the administration of the City of Pattaya were to present their talents on stage, ranging from performances to presentations. Around the grounds, play areas and game booths were planned, with prizes sponsored by state agencies and private companies. Educational exhibitions by various organizations were set up to inspire children’s imagination and provide new ideas.
Free food and drinks for families
To support all visitors, organizers planned to distribute free snacks, meals and beverages, so that children and their companions could enjoy the program without extra costs. The city aimed to make the celebration inclusive and accessible for families attending National Children’s Day.
Rescue vehicles and height experience
A special technical highlight was planned by the municipal unit for disaster and accident prevention, which was to demonstrate an aerial work platform vehicle allowing children to experience height operations up close. Additional firefighting demonstrations were scheduled so that children could gain insights into real fire-fighting operations, safety procedures and the equipment used by emergency crews.
Exclusive tour of the mayor’s office
For a limited group, the city offered a special opportunity for the first 100 children who registered from 6:00 a.m., who would receive wristbands. These wristbands entitled them to a guided tour of the office of the Mayor of Pattaya, including a personal meeting in which the mayor was to hand over special gifts. The wristbands also contained vouchers for one free portion of food and one drink per child.
Road closures and safety measures
To keep the event running smoothly, the city adjusted traffic management around the venue. North Pattaya Road was set to be closed on 10 January from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., from its intersection with Pattaya 3 Road to the junction with Phetchtrakool on the city hall side. Traffic officers deployed on site were to direct traffic and assist with detours, with the goal of keeping the festival area safe and easily accessible.
