PATTAYA, THAILAND – Pattaya Tourist Police announced advanced AI patrol operations to safeguard the International Fireworks Festival on November 28–29 honoring Queen Sirikit.
AI patrol vehicles introduced ahead of major festival
Tourist Police Superintendent Pol. Lt. Col. Tolarp Tinamat confirmed on November 20 in Pattaya, Chonburi Province, that new AI-enabled patrol vehicles would be deployed along the beachfront event zone. Each mobile unit, roughly minibus-sized, carried CCTV cameras, LED information screens, mounted speakers, and aerial balloons signifying official police presence.

Real-time scanning and coordination
The AI system supported real-time scanning for wanted suspects, crowd monitoring, and detection of suspicious movement. Officers operated the feeds both from mobile control units and the main Tourist Police station to handle on-site coordination, manage traffic flow, and identify incidents as they occurred.
Police command planned continuous patrol coverage at entry checkpoints and strategic festival locations, maintaining observation 24 hours during both festival days.
Festival details and safety management
The International Fireworks Festival 2024, themed “The Light of Eternal Royalty,” expected thousands of local and foreign attendees. According to Pol. Lt. Col. Tolarp, the enhanced presence aimed to ensure transparent operations and swift response across critical areas.
Key operational features included:

– Real-time communication between ground units and control center
– Lighting markers for clear identification of Tourist Police vehicles
Authorities confirmed preparations would conclude by November 27, allowing system calibration before the two-night celebration.
