Violent Fight in Pattaya: British Tourist Injured

How the Party Night Escalated at Jomtien Beach

At around 11:30 PM on September 10, 2025, the Pattaya City police station received an emergency call: two foreigners were involved in a violent fight on Jomtien Beach Road, near the Dongtan police station. Officers and paramedics from Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan rushed to the scene.

There, they found 32-year-old Briton Mr. Nathan lying on the street with a cut on his left ear and multiple bruises across his body. Paramedics provided first aid before transporting him to Bangkok-Jomtien Hospital. The alleged attacker—also British and reportedly a close friend—had fled the scene.

Eyewitness Speaks Out:

“They were drunk and arguing”

50-year-old eyewitness Ms. Joy told the police that the two men had been drinking together in a beer bar when the dispute began. The argument was about whether to return to their accommodation or continue partying. “Mr. Nathan wanted to withdraw money from an ATM, but it didn’t work,” Joy explained. “He decided to go home—but his friend was angry.” The verbal disagreement escalated into a physical fight in the middle of the street. The entire incident was recorded by surveillance cameras.

Police Investigation Underway

The police secured the CCTV footage and will interview the injured man once his condition stabilizes. “We are following several promising leads,” said a police spokesperson. “The fleeing friend is being sought for assault.” The suspect could face charges for aggravated assault, a crime punishable in Thailand by up to two years in prison. Since both men are foreigners, immigration authorities may also become involved.
